A clean, disinfected incubator is the key to successful hatches and
long incubator life. 95% of all repairs are related to cleanliness and
the environment the incubator is used in. (The incubators that do come
back for repairs are nearly always dirty and corroded. If you are going
to use your incubabator in a barn or outdoors - please don't buy ours.) |

I
like the temp and humidity readouts. That has been a real plus.
Unfortunately, the seal around the door started coming off after a year
of use so it wouldn't seal. And then the humidifier failed and we had to
locate one that could be rigged up to the hose.
At $1000.00, I expected a longer life.

Note: To be fair - the incubator will work well without any seal around
the door at all. We have had issues with our supplier regarding the
adhesive of the seal. It is an ongoing issue - varies from batch to
batch of seals. A little glue resolves the problem. The humidifier is
used as a water source to regulate the humidity. If you use distilled or
reverse osmosis filtered water the humidifier lasts much longer. A years
worth of distilled water costs more than a replacement humidifier - so
some people opt to replace their humidifier every year or so. |

The
GB1 gamebird incubator has very efficient one step functions. The
temperature and humidity stay at the set point. The automatic turning
works slowly and gently as tilts the trays. The default is very good for
preventing tampering of the controls. The electronics lift out so the
cabinet may be sanitized. The fan is so quiet you don't even realize it
is running. The functions may easily be changed I highly recommend
this product for most gamebirds. You
will also like the automatic humidity.
